Wednesday crept up on me again this week. The day to show my desk. The day where all the woyww'ers also show off their desks, whatever the state. A place where I always find lots of inspiration and helpful tips.
And so, to my desk. I'm not showing my normal desk today because I've been working on my lap mainly this week, in front of the TV.
My sock. My lovely lovely sock. Just knit knit knit! Coming along nicely now. Need to keep going till it gets to 8" and then it gets difficult trying to do the heel but I'm not worrying about that just yet.
My cushion cover. Done on one side and only six to finish the other side. I love the way it looks despite the fact that I had to add another colour on each round square so I could have enough wool to stitch them together in the same colour. It's a bit PINK but its effective. I have been using my sewing machine a bit but nothing to show as yet. Still playing.
I am off to look at other desks now. See you soon.
Thislooks beautiful, have a great week trace x 46

ReplyDeleteYay we have a sock! I can't believe someone who crochet's calls knitting difficult! I'd run a mile from a crochet hook! That's a great cushion cover, are you going to make a whole set or just so the one? The sock heel isn't difficult, just do it a bit at a time and concentrate on the directions for each individual part instead of trying to get your head around the whole thing. I do like the colour of wool you're using, and I love seeing how sock wool knits up, you never know what you're going to get.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty cushion cover. I have been crocheting scarves lately that will go in a sale in Dec. I guess I should photograph them and post?? You have inspired me!

Having tried crochet, I am impressed with yours! It seems so alien holding the yarn in the other hand from knitting. I had brain freeze!!! Your sock also demonstrates that you have way more patience than me...I am obviously becoming a grumpy, impatient, old git!!!

Very colourful items you are crafting.

Your cushion is looking really pretty. I'm still trying to get to grips with making socks - still haven't had any success.
ReplyDeletePretty cushion colors, they look like snowflakes!
ReplyDeleteLooks good! It makes me want to go crochet!

Amazing work... I'm so useless with knitting, crocheting, sewing - anything with fabric really, except stamping on it which I love!!

I can remember doing those squares when I was little. Never did finish anything...only maybe the strangest shaped jumper for my cindy doll. But she had no fashion sense anyhow!!!! Barbie was very jealous even so!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week

Your cushion cover is wonderful. As an unknitter (just beginning to learn) I wondered how it was you were going to add around.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
