WOYWW #208 - stuff and nonsense

Hello. Wednesday again. As usual time flies in the world of desk hopping.

My desk, back in the loft where I belong, no nasty storms to keep me away...........

My knitting bag is on the left overflowing with cardigan. I read the pattern completely wrong which is why I had a sleeve fit for a very long giant. Now I have a sleeve that fits me (an average armed person). Next to that in the middle is an array of cream and dark blue limbs and head and body which will soon become a crocheted sleepy sheep. My sewing needle in front ready for action. My little owl tape measure (what is that doing out?) and my tin of bits. Above the tangle of limbs and wool is a pile of stuffing ready to make the sheep a lovely squishy bundle of cuddliness for the baby I am making it for.

Right in the top left hand corner is a Beavers top and a new badge ready for sewing - oh joy! And that is me for today. I think I did fairly well last week, I visited those that visited me and I even managed to get round the ones that visited me last week that I didn't get to (make sense?). I will try my best again this week, I have no children with me for a few hours so I don't have an excuse.

Can't wait to see what everyone is up to this week.

  3. You're very brave tackling a cardigan, I'm still in sock making mode, but I have another project lined up to start very soon that isn't for my feet! Don't know why you can't comment, I'll wait to see if I get any others, if not, maybe they all can't leave one!

  4. How frustrating to have to pull back your sleeve, still at least you're back on track now! Love your little owl - super cute. MMx #85

  6. I'm glad to hear you are not being kept away from your crafting table by any storms today. Oh dear so it was reading the pattern wrong that had the knitting going wrong, glad you have that sorted
Wishing you and everyone a Very Happy WOYWW today

  7. Thanks for the giggles, I can't even put wool on the needles, so I think one long arm isn't too bad :O). have a wonderful day thanks for sharing...

  8. Great stuff as usual! Do show your sheep when it's done! Sorry I'm late but I'd forgotten how much work looking after children full time takes - I don't know where you find the time to make so much! LOL! Chris

  10. Happy 4th ...What a wonderful mix of arty crafty ladies we are...cant wait to see your knitted creation. Thank yoy for your lovely comment ...I am guilty of not visiting as much as I should ...time just slips away especially when I'm needed to help with GS's Kris and Robbie ...thank goodness they are better behaved than some of their friends!!!! lol xx71

  11. Why is it that, despite our love of sewing, we always dread the Sewing on of Badges?? It's a job I loathed and yet over the years had to do many..beavers, cubs, scouts, swimming, archery...sigh. As soon as I could I taught the boys to do it themselves!!!
Your little owl tape, measure is fun! I've got one of those windy in ones too but it's not as fab as the wise old bird!
    Happy 4th WOUWW,
    Hugs, LLJ 9 xxx

  14. WOW lots of work in the knitting basket. I made an awesome sweater for my husband years ago and when he put it on the sleeves hung 6" past his finger tips...ooopppsss! Never fixed it cause I was too bummed out about it...Have fun with your knitting projects. Thanks for sharing. Happy 4th Anniversary WOYWW! HOpe you have a great week. Vickie #14

  15. I’m sorry to be late in visiting but I’m now on day three of my quest to get round everyone this week. I know it’s going to take some time, but I wanted to say that it’s amazing that the internet can bring together so many likeminded people and I’m grateful that WOYWW has also brought along so many new friends, thanks to Julia.

It’s nice to see an overflowing knitting bag. I got back to mine a few weeks back (knitting a shawl and baby clothes) but have gone back to my cross stitch now.

Enjoy your weekly snoop, especially as we’re celebrating WOYWW’s 4th Anniversary.
    Happy Crafting!
