Hello Wednesdayer's. I am very cold sitting up here in the loft so I won't be staying - just long enough to finish at least one of the many things I have on my desk this week.
Front left is my cardigan that I have just finished sewing up, then realised it was wonky and I have to undo the collar and I don't like it on me as it makes me look like a balloon in a vey think cardi (ie not very flattering). Front is Small's Cub uniform with a half sewn badge on, I must have been interrupted. Blinded by the light is a napkin I am going to attempt to embroider a tea cup onto (just because I haven't done it before and I want to). Middle back is the Sock Monkey hat Moo was knitting. Well she has gone back to the UK now and left me to sew it up. Nearly done. Next to that is a Zentangle I am working on in between the sewing and knitting jobs. I come up to do one thing and then I start doodling and before I know it, time is flying by. Left top are the finished thrum socks which I am very happy with. Just need to do a three needle bind off which means I need to ckeck YouTube to see how to do it. I think that is everything.
Off for a cup of tea and a blog hop - nothing better x
Guess I can tell what you will be working on this week. Tea will help with those projects, too.

Ohhh you have been busy, so many projects needing your attention. I know how that can happen so quickly. Have a lovely week.

I can get lost in Zentangle too. I take a journal with me on visits to the hospital to fill the time. Have a good day and week. Peg R #13
ReplyDelete"just because I haven't done it before and I want to" sounds like the perfect reason to me!!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW to you!

Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. :-) April #22
ReplyDeletehmmm unfinished projects - where would we be without them!! Happy WOYWW Helen #9
ReplyDeleteI still have an unfinished pair of socks from last winter. I hid them in the corner behind the door to stop them 'staring' at me in reproach. I like the cardi and I'm sure it doesn't make you look like a balloon really.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than your busy desk! Shame it's so cold, and sorry about the cardi...I have one too, they must make the patterns on purpose!
ReplyDeleteOoh I do love a busy desk. So many projects going on, wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

It is so good though when you get those UFOs finished, isn't it. Wear the cardi around the house to keep you warm and add wacky bright buttons to take the attention off everything else you don't like about it.
ReplyDeleteI love zentangling, it is so relaxing and you can do it anywhere!
Thanks for the snoop...

I'm running late with my visits today [well late for me :-) ].
ReplyDeleteHave had a busy morning playing with the twins but they are both down for their naps now so I'm having a quick catch up with my friends :-)
So many things on the go at yours today.
Hugs,

Shame it's cold cos your desk looks so light and bright! Take care Zo xx 64
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jo, and with a winter as cold as we've had so far I'm going for comfort and warmth and to hell with what I look like!! What are you going to knit next when you've got this lot out of the way? I've joined two sock challenge groups on Ravelry, in the hope of making more socks this year and learning new patterns and techniques. Thanks for linking me.

I agree with Brenda and Jo...jazzing it up will make you wear it otherwise it'll get put away and that would be a shame after all your hard work! And I'm a terrible one for getting distracted too..it may not be zentangling, but anything will do if it comes to putting off an unwanted task, lol!! Even folding socks...... :-)

Looks so warm and cozy, so be sure to fix it up. It would be a shame to just put it away.

Doing something you want to sounds like a perfect plan to me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday,

Well, you are busy with no shortage of projects on your work desk! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I always have loads of 'unfinisheds' - hubby doesn't understand the ability to work on (and need to work on) more than one thing at once!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us perk at your desk

Yes, it is cold here, too. I am having a cup of hot tea. I always liked crocheting in the Winter, because I could throw part of it over my legs. :) Stay warm. #26
ReplyDeleteCold here today also...luckily my room is heated! I can remember the days of a scouter uniform and having to sew the badges on. I was so glad when Chad got old enough to do his own. I am really proud of my Eagle scout! We made it to UK jamborees several times and have memories to last a life time! Have a great week. Vickie aka Okienurse #111
ReplyDeleteJust taking the opportunity whilst I can (my Internet connection is pretty patchy at the moment, sigh!)to visit. Pity about the cardi ... fallen into that trap many times myself. Something looks fine on the pattern, modeled by a super slim stick insect, of course, but on me it looks just makes me look much tooooo chunky :) I have a drawer full of unfinished projects, started and then lost interest, for the time being anyway. We woke up to frost this morning so can identify with feeling the cold. A belated happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #70
ReplyDeleteI currently have four different sized cross stitch projects on the go, a jacket for a friend's granddaughter (fortunately, I chose to do one for a 2 year old and it will probably take me that long to sort out the confusing pattern), an embroidery picture (started 20 years ago), not to mention all the other things I dabble in. Oh yes, I forgot, I did start to play with quilting. Thank you for your visit this week, and you will be please to know that my desk is no longer the clean tidy place it was on Wednesday - I was crafting yesterday with a padded envelope. Have a lovely week. xx Maggie #2
