Woyww #138

Here we are again.  WEDNESDSAY.  Time to play along with "What's on your Workdesk Wednesday", hosted by Julia at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com.
So today I abandoned my normal workdesk in favour of spreading my work around the house.
This is the kitchen table.  I wanted to make a card but be downstairs to make dinner as well!
This is the Dining Table with Small's Toiletries Bag I am 'embellishing'

.....and this is the other end of the dining table......
I am attempting to make a bag with the handles I won from The Felt Fairy

Two different ideas.
1.  Crochet side with a material inside - not sure if the crochet is too soft.  Will it hold up as a bag?
2.  The other one is two tea-towels sewn together.  The problem with this one is that I don't yet have a    sewing machine and I'm not sure if the material is too thick to hand sew!
My normal desk is just a dumping ground at the moment, so you don't want to see that.

Why not pop along and have a look at the real talent from all around the world who take part in WOYWW.

Love the bag ideas. I'm sure you will have a fab bag when finished. Have fun,

Both are very good ideas. The tea towel one looks the best though for sturdiness. Actually a very good idea. I'm still waffling about an idea...saw this http://pursepatterns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=108&products_id=943

I think the top bit is cut as a half circle so when you gather it up at the top the sides stay straight? I'll just have to experiment:)

Loving the look of the card your making - are you stamping on it?
I think the tea-towels would work better for your bag, but I guess you'll have to machine sew them.

Have a creative day.

Morning, morning. I linked you up btw, thought you'd be a bit busy getting your household ready for the day at 7:30am! You've done well with those alphabet stamps, I can never get them to line up. Love the bags, think the tea towel one is my favourite, sounds like a good excuse to get a sewing machine too! I absolutely adore Baaarnaby from the previous post!

I love the look of the crochet bag. What have you got to lose, give it a go. If it isn't sturdy enough, you can always re-use the handles. The colours are gorgeous, love your button pic too :)

Love the orange buttons and yes one must have more than one desk even if it spreads to the rest of the house lol

Lots of different projects in different places. I would have that if I had multiple work surfaces for sure. Thanks for the share at your projects. I like the idea of a crocheted bag but I think the tea towels would work out better.

I think the crochet one will work if you are lining the inside to prevent stretch ...forget it if you have cats though.lol

Both bag ideas are great but the crochet one will work if lined as it stop it from stretching - thanks for sharing all you spaces - but I would have liked to see the messy one :)
