woyww knit-a-long

Hello Weddnesdayers. I have missed you. I have been away for some time. School Holidays - I blame the kids. Anyway, today I am linking with the lovely people of Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Yesterday my desk looked like this.....

knitted squares, my favourite sewing needle for knitting and my new glasses (wow I can see).

I joined a Rowan KAL some time ago, purchased my balls of wool and have been steadily knitting squares all Summer long. 36 squares later and I started sewing them together - which I finished doing today.

Now I just have to knit the edge which is a cable rope which should measure 4.8 metres. Phew.

Hope to visit many other deskers to see what is happening out there in blogland.

Famfa! You're back! Hooray - I've missed seeing all your woolly creations :-) Hope you've had a good break and holidays!
Love your knitted squares, the blanket is fab! I've gone to the Dark Side and fallen completely in love with crochet, mainly cos it grows so much quicker than knitting and I'm a lazy mare!!

I'v always been tempted by "along" projects (knit along, quilt along, etc etc) but I just know I don't have the sticktoitivness :) Love the squares - great pattern!

Happy WOYWW!

Great to see you..look how busy you've been while the holidays swallowed you up! That blanket is fantastic. Really really admire your staying power to..I'm hopeless with the 'along' style of workshops. And now look, you've got a fab blankie heirloom for the whole family to snuggle under. Fab.
