And this is the start of the back.
I have also been stamping stones with names of herbs. I saw them selling something similar in the garden centre and I thought ah ha, I can do that.
I had to undo my sock. I was knitting it inside out. Brenda was a help, thank you for all who suggested her. I went back to the shop. The lady put the the right way. Then I dropped a stitch, picked it up, added another one, did the pattern wrong and before I knew it, I had pulled all of it off and started again. Except now I have forgotten what I am doing. So I have cast on my stitches and left it on my desk till Friday when I will go back to the knitting group and get some help.
So for now I am madly crocheting round squares and randomly stamping beautiful stones. Now I am off to look at everyone else's desks to see what wonderful things are going on there.

I love your round squares! I tied to learn crocheting years ago but my circles turned into squares, my squares in rectangles and so on! Love what you're making here, great idea about the stones too. Don't worry about the sock, I've pulled loads out before! No1 this week was a fluke, I'd dyed my hair and was sitting at the computer instead of on the couch in case the dye dripped. Julia didn't post at 8pm and I was about to go and wash my hair at 8:27 and thought I'd hang on til 8:30!

I almost laughed at the sock debacle. Sounds like something I might do, if I was still working with yarn. Brenda is always great to help and come up with ideas. Happy WOYWW from #4.
Crocheting round squares ... I love it. There is always a helpful woyww to get us out of a craft dilemma.

I'm just impressed you're even contemplating knitting socks!! Much as I love yarns, it's not something I would do cos I have no patience AT ALL!! Love your crochet! JoZart has promised to teach me at the WOYWW crop, so I'm looking forward to that! And I see things all the time and think 'I can make that'! You'll have to show us your stones when they're finished :)

I haven't picked up a crochet hook for years, you sound as though you are having great fun with wool.

ah yes the joys of knitting. My nanny taught me at about 5-7 to knit clothes for my dolls and I can remember how frustrated I was at the outcome of some of my attempts. Lily thought idle hands were the devils workshop so she kept us busy. Have a great week and remember you can do it just keep on keeping on and it will all fall into place. Vickie #87

Wow, you're a demon at crochet..wouLd take me ages to do that many, such great patterns. The herb stones are a lovely idea, what terrific (non post) pressies a set would make.

Great idea to stamp on stones for a herb garden. I have had the grandchildren stamping on stones so as they like gardening too that will be an idea I will borrow from you.
