Woyww - half a sock, nearly a sock, not started a sock

Today I am joining in with What's on your Workdesk Wednesday or WOYWW.

Apologies to those that I didn't get back to last week, thank you for your comments. I am am back from holiday now and ready to play properly again.

Here is my desk..

At the back in front of my sewing machine is my cardi that I abandonned but obviously have to finish it soon as I am told it is the end of the summer season now (in the shops anyway!).

There are some Origami Cranes that I have been trying to master (finally got it) after reading two books that featured them. To the left just out of view is the wool, needles and pattern for the sock I haven't started yet. In the middle front is the sock I am working on for Huffle. Coming along beautifully, it is so soft. I am on the foot part so just lots of knitting.

The blue one on the right is a pedicure sock I am making for Moo for Christmas. One sock done.....

The idea of these is so you can still paint your toes but your foot isn't cold. Moo wants them for when she puts cream on her heels but doesn't want too warm feet. I hope they work.

Well that's me for now. On with the socks and checking out everyone else's desk.

You need to watch out, you're turning into a sockaholic! Hope you get the cardi finished soon, something tells me you're going to be needing it! I bought the wool (on sale @ Little Knits) for a jumper but I must first finish a bag and two pairs of socks, otherwise all I'll have are wip's! Huffles socks look really cosy and Moo's present is a brilliant idea, she'll love it!

PS, Julia has been posting early again, around 9pm our time, do you want me to link you up too?

I haven't heard of pedicure socks before. They look very cool. I like the idea of having my toes exposed. I took a sock class once; got about 3 inches done and gave up! I really do want to try socks at some point.

Happy WOYWW

Socks mmmmm, remind me I still haven't finished the pair I started last year, only one done. Now I'm back in the crafting mood they may just get finished and I can look forward to cosy toes.
Love the crane. I have one, a gift from a Japanese family member, and have always fancied having a go, will get there sometime.

Great desk - kudos on mastering the cranes, my attempts at origami usually just feed the recycling bin! I lovethat you have your little cafetiere - so civilised! And you can make socks? Well what can I say, I have barely mastered knit 1 purl 1. And I love your little chicken on your sewing machine!! Happy WOYWW Cindy #85

Those socks look so cosy and inviting, what a lucky bod to be receiving those.
Well done on the origami too, not something I have ever tried, but looks interesting.

The pedicure sock is such a clever idea, never heard of it before. It's too hot in the summer to knit a cardigan, but you'll be glad to have it when cool weather rolls around. :-)

Happy Woyww,

What an excellent idea. I put lotion on my heels mainly, but full socks make me warm. April #120
